This morning it was still cloudy when we woke and we were sad we could not see the mountain.  We went up to the tent camp 4 kilometers from the guesthouse to see what it looked like from there.  We decided to take the bus to Mt. Everest Base Camp.  When we got there the weather began to clear and after climbed the hill for a better view the clouds cleared and we could see Mt. Everest! It was an unbelievable sight! The mountain peak was above the tallest clouds. We were only allowed 45 minutes at base camp and the time went real fast.  I took lots of pictures!

We then left Everest and began our drive to Zhangmu over a dirt road and several mountain passes.  It was a pretty drive but we didn't stop much because the drivers were in a hurry.  Driving into Zhangmu was scary, the road was narrow and winding.  Cars were going both ways and our drivers used their horn a lot!  We got there just before dark.
